Compensation: Competitive stipend; meals providedWe are seeking a passionate and creative Art Programming Director to lead the visual arts experience at Tall Pines Music & Arts Festival. In this role, you will curate and oversee the festivalβs artistic programming, working closely with artists to develop and execute installations that enhance the festivalβs atmosphere.
RESPONSIBILITIESCurate two to three featured visual artists to feature.
Lead the development of two large-scale installation centrepieces:
one custom installation
one interactive, collaborative piece that invites festival-goers to participate.
Manage the art budget, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and within financial constraints.
Act as the primary liaison between artists and festival operations, coordinating logistics, materials, and space requirements.
Oversee on-site installation, ensuring that artwork is safely and effectively displayed.
Collaborate with festival staff to integrate art programming with the broader festival experience.
Troubleshoot and provide on-site support to artists during the festival.
QUALIFICATIONSProven experience in art curation, public art installation, or arts programming (event experience is a plus).
Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience handling budgets and coordinating multiple artists.
Ability to develop interactive and participatory art experiences.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with artists, festival staff, and attendees.

This role involves overseeing artist green rooms, managing hospitality requests, and maintaining a welcoming backstage environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced festival setting.
RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and maintain artist green rooms with food and beverage according to hospitality riders.
Clean and reset green rooms between artist performances.
Handle grocery shopping and supply runs to ensure all artist requests are met.
Coordinate with festival staff to manage inventory and deliveries.
Ensure backstage hospitality areas remain organized, clean, and stocked throughout the festival.
QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in hospitality, event management, or artist relations is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Valid driver's license and access to a car for grocery and supply runs.

RESPONSIBILITIESRecruit and hire volunteers by reviewing applications and selecting suitable candidates.
Create and manage volunteer schedules based on assigned roles and festival needs.
Act as the main point of contact for volunteers, providing clear instructions and support.
Coordinate with festival staff to ensure volunteers are efficiently placed and utilized.
Oversee and support volunteers on-site during the festival (July 18-19).

RESPONSIBILITIESAssist Ticketmaster staff with guest list, media passes, and box office inquiries.
Learn how to use ticket scanning devices and train volunteers on their operation at front gates.
Manage volunteers stationed at the box office and front gates, ensuring smooth entry for festival-goers.
Address attendee inquiries and resolve any ticketing issues efficiently.
Collaborate with festival staff to ensure an organized and professional box office operation.
QUALIFICATIONSExperience in ticketing, event operations, or guest services is preferred.

This role requires organizational skills, leadership, and the ability to manage logistics efficiently. You will be responsible for supervising a small team, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and assisting festival-goers with parking. This is a short-term but essential role in making the festival experience seamless and enjoyable for attendees.
RESPONSIBILITIESOversee the paid parking lot operations during the festival.
Manage and coordinate one to two assistants, ensuring smooth parking flow.
Work independently during slower periods while maintaining efficiency.
Ensure all parking is paid for via checking prepaid tickets or having festival attendees tap-to-pay (no cash handling required).
Direct festival attendees to available parking spots and enforce parking regulations.
Collaborate with festival staff for any parking-related needs or emergencies.
Work both festival days (July 18 & 19) with scheduled breaks and meals provided.
