Tall Pines Was Born Out Of Passion, Necessity,

a little bit of hope, and a prayer

FRC, a Toronto-based boutique live event and music marketing agency β€” powered by Kevin Goodman, Chief Entertainment Officer, and Jonny Desilva, Creative Director β€” experienced their crowd-based business come to a screeching halt in 2020. But they weren’t about to let a global pandemic stop the music.

β€œThe Music Never Stopped”

The Grateful Dead

Determined to keep
the music alive

Kevin and Jonny launched a free livestream music festival called The Summer House Party, bringing live performances from bands like Sam Roberts Band, The Trews, Serena Ryder, K-OS, Tim Hicks, and more straight into Canadian homes coast to coast to coast via web and national TV broadcast on Cottage Life TV. For two years, The House Party kept our nation connected through music.

CITY FOLK,
MEET MUSKOKA

In 2021, The Summer House Party found itself filming at breathtaking Camp Tamakwa, deep in Algonquin Park. While there, Kevin and Jonny fell hard for Muskokaβ€”the landscape, the people, the spirit.

As the world started to open back up, so did the hope for live music to return.

The House Party era came to an end, but out of those wild woods and starry nights, Tall Pines was born. A festival dedicated to nature, community, the arts, and the magic of live music.

Entering its fourth year, Tall Pines has become a beloved Muskoka summer traditionβ€”an experience that locals, cottagers, and visitors alike look forward to every July.
